I think we can all agreed we’ve felt like a fish out of water when it comes to being a parent. There is no handbook, so if we are lucky to have our parents/grandparents with a strong foundation, we have something to emulate, while hoping they had it right. I applaud this author for sharing intimate details of her life in effort to help others. She shares some of the mistakes she made as well as the solutions she implemented to correct and modify making her situation better. I believe the author’s intent was not to highlight the negativity in one’s self, but to own up to our mess and know that it is ok to be messy sometime.

Of course, this is one mother’s account of love, relationships, raising children and being a member of a family unit. If we are honest with ourselves, we can relate to some, if not all of these experiences.

I recommend this one and could be enjoyed by new parents (mothers and fathers), seasoned parents or anyone who has the responsible of taking care of family.
