We wish you all the most amazing year!!

To start your New Year off right, the Book Bar has a New Year Giveaway! For a chance to win a digital copy of "The Sweetest Love" tell me 3 things besides being an author/writing that makes Suzette happiest.

Hint: in this post

While accountant Roxanna “Roxy” Harris’ career is on track, her personal life is headed for a collision. After growing up an only child, a chance meeting reveals she has siblings and a father eager to meet her. Childhood tormentor, Adam, will be there to help her navigate through the messy reunion.

Attorney Adam West is blown away by Roxy. Gone is the skinny, pigtail-wearing nuisance. Although her life is drama-filled, he’s finally found a woman he can envision spending forever with.

When Adam believes Roxy has done the unthinkable, will love be enough to unite them as one?

At the age of fifteen, an upperclassman slipped me my first romance novel. I became immediately engrossed in the romance genre. Years later when I discovered there were romance novels written by African-American women with characters that looked like me, I nearly lost my mind! Searching my local bookstores for my favorite authors became an enjoyable pastime. Today I have an extensive library of romance novels that are growing out of control!

My love for the genre and a need to find a place of escape is what encouraged me to write my first novel, A Special Summer, in 2008, under a pen name. After receiving positive feedback from readers eager to know what was going to happen next with the characters, I was inspired to write the sequel, When Love Comes Around, and before I knew it, the Love Conquers All Series was born. From this series, Second Chance at Love was nominated for an Emma Award for E-book of the Year.

Currently, I’m working on creating new stories with fascinating characters that will make readers want to fall in love.

Although reading and writing are near and dear to my heart, being a wife, mother, sister, friend, and nurse practitioner is what makes me the happiest.
